Sagemcom Launches its first DVB-T2 High Definition Digital Television Recorders
Chertsey, UK, March 23rd 2010: Sagemcom today announced the introduction of the SAGEMCOM RTI90-320 T2 HD and the SAGEMCOM RTI90-500 T2 HD, its FREEVIEW+ HD Digital Television Recorders (DTR) for the UK market. These are also the first products to be released under the new Sagemcom brand name.
The extremely compact recorders, with high quality glossy black casing, support the new DVB-T2 standard and are capable of receiving and recording all Freeview channels and services, including HD programmes which you can pause, record and rewind.
Sagemcom are proud to launch their recorders with a new, advanced 8 day EPG, which you can browse whilst still watching your preferred programme, both remaining on screen. Additionally it offers one-touch recording, Series Link and one-touch access to your library of recorded programmes.
Sagemcom is offering the ability to build a library of your favourite programmes by creating folders, naming them and storing content within them. Looking ahead, there is an Ethernet port for future interactive services.
Although technically advanced, Sagemcom has been able to create a very easy to use unit, powered by the 55 nanometre STM7105 chipset from STMicroelectronics. The 320GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) allows users to record up to 160 hours of programmes while the 500GB HDD will allow 250 hours of programmes. The twin DVB-T2 tuners make it possible to record two programmes simultaneously while watching a recorded programme.
This product will be available in all authorised retailers in the UK.
The 320GB product will be available at the end of April / Early May with the 500GB following at the end of May.
