Sagemcom adds BBC iPlayer to Zapper functionality

BBC iPlayer has become an essential part of the way people watch their TV.  In December 2010 the site received 145 million requests for programmes.   If you've missed the programme, if you can't record it or if you simply want to watch it again the BBC iPlayer comes to the rescue.

Now Sagemcom have added BBC iPlayer functionality to the DSI86 their Freesat zapper product.

In the last few years the way people watch TV has totally changed.  We use to watch what was on when we wanted to watch TV, often making the best of what was available.  In today's culture we watch exactly what we want to watch whenever we're watching TV - day or night, on a TV, on a PVR or on a PC.

Access to the BBC iPlayer has been available on our Freesat DTR's for a while now but it's great to add it to the zapper too. The DTR products obviously have the functionality to record programmes so it even more useful for a zapper product to have the ability to access catch-up TV.

The Sagemcom Freesat DSI86 is available from Amazon, Argos, Asda, Best Buy, Comet, John Lewis and Tesco's.
